Overview
Protein-Nucleic Acid Recognition Databases and Tools
is a system to help researchers understand the mechanism of nucleic
acid recognition by proteins. The databases consist of
Protein-Nucleic Acid Complex Database, which is a collection of
structural data of protein-nucleic acid complex; Database
of Base-Amino Acid Interactions, which collects structural information
of base-amino acid interactions; Thermodynamic
Database for Protein-Nucleic Acid Interactions (ProNIT), which is
a collection of experimental binding data of protein-nucleic acid interaction.
We are also developing tools for predicting binding sites and target
genes of transcription factors. These databases and search tool will
provide users with insight into the mechanism of protein-nucleic acid
recognition from various aspects. The database is directly linked to
3DinSight, an integrated database for structure,
function and property of biomolecules.
Please note that this database is still under construction.
There will be changes without prior notice.
